This project consisted of a full internal and external refurbishment of an industrial unit, transforming the space into a modern, compliant and ready to occupy facility.
Internal Works
Works began with a full soft strip demolition, removing all internal blockwork within the warehouse including existing toilets and kitchen areas.
The offices and welfare spaces were fully replastered and redecorated with white painted blockwork to the warehouse and a grey finish to the steel structure, creating a clean, contemporary environment throughout.
Our M & E scope included the installation of a compliant fire alarm system, emergency lighting, new fire doors, roller shutter door motor and mechanism, air conditioning and a new kitchenette.
To complete the internal transformation a new epoxy resin flooring was installed to the warehouse, alongside carpet and vinyl finishes to the offices and toilets.
External Works
The main roof was upgraded with the replacement of the existing asbestos cement sheets, installing a Kingspan Quadcore Composite panel system incorporating 10% rooflights to enhance natural daylight.
The office roof was also replaced, removing the failing felt system and installing a new 20-year insulated Lancastria felt roof.
Externally, the shutters were redecorated and the office render repainted, giving the building a fresh, modern appearance and a real new lease of life.
